    Good Night, FunnyFace

Your actual name was Isis, but 16 years ago we named you after a goddess. But you became our FunnyFace because of your markings.

You loved the laser pointer and any toy we could throw at you. You were the best lap cat and you loved the dog. You became diabetic at 13, and boy howdy, you kicked diabetes' tail by going from two shots a day down to one. You gained all your weight back, and two weeks before your passing, the vet reduced even a little of that one shot.

You did good, my lady. I know you were probably a little tired on our last day. Sweet girl, you curled up and took a nap on the couch ... but you forgot to wake up.

God bless you, FunnyFace. I'll see you soon.

    Danggitall.

For some reason, I had a problem posting her pic. But I'm still using Vista ... but there she is.

My oldest cat lived to be 18, I had him put down because of cancer. Sorry you lost your funny face, its never easy to loose one. Do you now have another cat?

I am so sorry for your loss my friend. FunnyFace was a lovely cat. Managing diabetes is tough but she did well for 3 years and that's a positive thing. It's a terrible thing to loss our furry baby...it's a stab in the heart and it's tough to get over but we're here for you.

Thank you! She was a real trooper through her diabetes.

That day she fell asleep with her head in the waterbowl I thought we had 3 more minutes with her as we rushed her to the vet.

Three years was such a precious gift. Thanks for being here and letting me pour my heart out, folks.

Funny Face is cute. Present tense - she is still living, just not down here on Earth with you.

I hope you will find peace someday in her passing, which is never easy for anyone to do.

Remember how lucky you were and she was to live three years with diabetes and make progress even at the old age of 16. My last cat lived 19 years, all but the first seven weeks with me, and every time I asked a vet if she will live to age 20, the answer was she already was older than most cats.

I lost a cat recently, due to kidney issues. I know how hard it is to loose our sweet, loving fur balls, and I hope FunnyFace rests peacefully.
