    Question catnip spray

Can anyone suggest a specific catnip spray to put on Daisy's cat scratcher? She stopped using it in favor of the living room carpet. Now I am getting new carpet this week and need to make her use the scratching post again ASAP. I don't want to put ground catnip on it because that would be messy. Daisy used to be very good at using the scratching post so I know she likes it - just need to attract her again.

this is the one I get, you can get it at walmart, around $4 a bottle. They also have one in bubbles, if the cat likes to chase bubbles she'd probably like this one also, I only bought it once, my cats were not impressed

Maybe your cats don't have the catnip gene? I had one who did not respond to catnip at all.

Another question I have is the bottle size to get. Amazon sells some 1 ounce bottles that are more expensive than bigger bottles by other brands. I know nothing about pricing for this stuff because Daisy has only had catnip toys so far.

I just want something to put on the scratching post. I have tried actual catnip in the past and it worked like magic, but made a big mess on the floor.

I've never used catnip for my cats, but if I started to I would want something that was more natural. Not sure of the going prices for catnip sprays, but here's one to consider. https://www.onlynaturalpet.com/produ...or/284010.aspx

Thanks Alpha. I was thinking about ordering a finely ground catnip but the only one I could find on Amazon can only be purchased if I spend at least $25 worth of stuff and takes longer to ship.

Catnip is something Daisy can't get enough of for half an hour.

Update: I already got the catnip a day earlier than expected. Daisy knew when she saw the bubble-wrapped envelope what was in it. I put some on both the scratching post and Turbo Scratcher. She only sniffed the scratching post, but immediately started acting like it is a toy and using it. When I went to transfer the catnip to a glass bowl with a tight lid, she followed me and of course I had to let her play with the bag.
