    dog hypoallergenic diet

    YAY ! my gfirl ate duck tioday . ( it was scored. pan fried then baked in oven for 30 mins ). thats what it takes to diagnose an allergenic dog. she is raw fed on salmon based after an elimination diet. 6 hrs since duck and no reaction

    She's still scratching some. But the duck seems safe because normally a food that doesn't suit her sends her into a manic state. I.e. a small piece of cheese bad her biting her paws for 2 days

    To anyone reading this. You have to be incredibly strict. Your vet can prescribe a meat free. Gluten free. Grain free food. You also need to look at treats. No more bones or turn its. Whimzees do a great range in natural vegetable treats. All so look online for homeopathic products. You need to look at everything you are using on your animal. Including shampoo. Wash their bedding 2x weekly. Invest in a brush and groom nightly to rid them of irritating dead skin. Allergenic animals often suffer with dry scaly skin. Once you have them in a stable state you can start to reintroduce food. I a week to see how they react. Good luck x
