    Hound Puppy Peeing In Bed

I have a german shepherd/mountain cur mix puppy. He is 4 months old and I adopted him a month ago. He is almost completely housebroken except for one issue... every night when we go to bed, he will either sit in the living room and pee when i try to pick him up to pee in my bed if i can pick him up without him peeing (we normally go to bed around 3 am or so). He wont pee at any other time than this. Tonight, I got him on my bed complwtly fine but when i tried to pet him he started peeing. Does anyone have any idea why or any ways to possibly fix this? This is an every night issue and i really need it to stop.

could be submissive peeing, not uncommon with pups at all, he will outgrow it by the time he's a year old.

Two reasons for submissive peeing is afraid or excited.
he is your friend and protector, he will love you unconditionally, you owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion
