Help Shepard the cat be pain free!

Hey there I really need help any sharing on Facebook or Twitter would be amazing. I have spent all of my savings on vet bills on Shepard's entropian only to visit a specialist who said the only fix is surgery. I live by myself so it is taking awhile to save money. I will be doing as much overtime as possible but any little bit will help get him the surgery he needs.

Entropian is a condition where the eyelid curls inward and the fur is constantly scratching his eye causing scarring and irritation which is quite painful for the cat.

Thank you all so much for reading this

That looks bad. I hope people can help you out. Is it one eye or both eyes?

Yeah it is just the right eye I been treating it with drops from the vet it stops it from getting worse but doesn't prevent the scarring that keeps happening

As long as the eyedrops help and don't cause any problems, keep giving them to your kitty. Good luck.

Is Shepard of a boy or a girl?

Shepard's a boy. Just like someone thought Sandy was a boy instead of a girl. Some names are unisex so I try not to be critical of people.

Thank You everyone! Yeah Shepard is a boy and yeah it is very irritating for him, sometimes he will cry in a corner so I have to pick up and cuddle him to calm him down. Sorry for the delay reply I am working like crazy to try and afford this.

We totally understand. High vet bills are unfortunately part of being a cat parent, but totally worth it for Shepard. Can you do anything to relieve the pain while saving up for surgery?

Yeah for now I am using eye drops the vet recommended to help moisten the eye so it doesn't scratch it as much. Yeah I know high vet bills was the expectation so I had like $1200 saved up for things like this but it ended being used up from the many vet visit. Wish specialists offices weren't so expensive where I am.

I assume most specialists are more expensive than regular vets. Maybe not for office visits, but defnitely the treatments.

Yeah they are pretty expensive to see a specialist it cost me $175 American, I just hope with all this overtime I am taking I can get somewhat close to getting the surgery done.
