    Post Daisy's first anniversary

Today I will celebrate having a cat for one full year after going longer than that (370 days) between cats for financial reasons. I always knew someday I would get another cat. The day finally came less than 24 hours after a white kitten named Aspen was spayed and microchipped. I wish I knew about this forum during the long, hard transition that began with being permanently separated from her twin brother and having majjor surgery and proceeding to a real home that would become hers forever.

Daisy will never know how lucky she is to have the same mom for the rest of her life.

None of them do, they just take for granted the "good life", street cats and strays would kill for the life out cats have!

That is true for Daisy because she was a fostered kitten, but Wilbur never forgot being hungry outdoors and always thought it was meal time when I refilled the food bowl.

He was a stray for months and coincidentally found his way to the home of a shelter manager. She could not keep him because she already had nine cats, so she fed him every day outside until he could be trapped.
