Hard white growth on cats stomach

My 9 year old cat has a small growth on his stomach. At first I thought it was a skin tag. But upon closer inspection I noticed it had a slight yellow color to it and was hard. When I tried to pull on it lightly, he started freaking out. Not sure what this is?
I have pictures but I cannot figure out how to post them as I’m on mobile and this is my first post!

welcome to the forum, just keep an eye on it, if it grows or starts leaking then its time to take him to the vet. It could be anything or nothing. Just keep an eye on it

Welcome to the forum. There are threads in thef Pet Forum Support section (scroll to the bottom of the forum index) about posting pictures here.

I don't know what a skin tag is. Did he have one before?

The yellow color could indicate the hard thing is infected and will not go away on its own.
An inside cat is a safe cat.
