Found a baby mouse and have some urgent questions about health

I have recently found a baby mouse next to its dead mother and I have taken care of it for the past 4 days it doesn't have its eyes open yet but did have fur when I found it. It eats well I feed it goats milk pasteurized but its the best I have. I warm it up and feed it to him he drinks a lot and gets very exited. I was wondering I can see a few links in his tail and I'm not sure if he is dehydrated. I made an electrolyte solution with water sugar and salt (3 teaspoons of sugar 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 2.2 cups of water) I want to see if anyone can tell me if he looks dehydrated and if the solution I made would be appropriate to mix in and slowly take out to help. I don't see how he could be he gets fed until full every 2 hours round the clock and pees and poops almost every time however his poops are sometimes watery. I have no experience with mice in specific but the rescue center wouldn't take him. Thank you for your time if you know anything about it please tell me.

It won't let me put my pictures up I will try to do so after this is posted

Sorry I have no experience or advice, but I'm glad you're making the effort to care for the little one.

we took him to the vet and got a recipe for a special formula to give him so he should be doing better soon.

That's great to hear, sounds like with your loving care he'll make it. Hope he shows improvement soon, what was in the special formula? By the way, welcome to the forum!

8 parts heavy cream (36% fat) 1 part egg yolk 1 part water it is the closest thing to mouse milk that can really be made. It was recommended to the vet we talked to by a specialist.

Sadly he died a few minutes ago. We couldn’t get to a vet er his appetite went down hill a few hours ago and he died curled in my hand just a few seconds after I put him in it.
