    litterbox, litter, food, water bowl or fountain, a toy and a nice cozy bed. Cats don't drink a lot of water so a wet cat food diet is better for them. You also need to find a good vet and when you get her/him make an apt. to have her checked out. If a kitten it will need baby shots and she should be spayed or neutered by 5 months old.

    It means if you can't pay for veterinary care, you can't take care of a pet. This is true for all mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles people keep as pets. So if you have enough money to pay vet bills for one cat, but not enough for two cats, you can't have more than one cat.
