    Pregnant dog

I have two apbt dogs both age 2, one female one male.
Theyve always got along and slept in the same kennel since pups, ate side by side, chewed on the same toy/bone. Both from different litters. Now the female is a month pregnant into her first and last pregnancy. Now shes showing signs of 'resource guarding' and getting jealous of the male out of nowhere. Things like growling at him when going by food, toys, and even me. she only does this towards the male and never people. They've stood up w their paws on each other's chest showing teeth but no fighting. Had to kennel her up a few nights as punishment.
I just want to know if this is a pregnancy thing and if shes going to act like this towards her pups?
Any advice on how to fix this problem with training would help. Thanks

her hormones are out of whack, just like a human pregnancy. She may be worse after she has the pups. Her protective instinct will kick in and may not let anyone near her babies. Not much you can do about it, but if she shows signs of aggression after the pups are born be sure to keep dad away. When the pups get a little bigger and become more mobile she may settle down. Maybe!
he is your friend and protector, he will love you unconditionally, you owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion
