Looking for a Child Friendly Dog - Suggestions

    I think little dogs bite more in self defense, people drop them, they get stepped on ect. So they bite to let you know they are there. I don't believe any dog is born mean but I think a little dog bites more in self defense
    he is your friend and protector, he will love you unconditionally, you owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion

    as I said before ALL dogs can bite, its in all of them just some you don't have to push them as far as others to make them bite. I never said Phoenix wouldn't bite. She will bite a stranger in a heartbeat. But as far as a family goes there are none other their equal

    Little dogs bite for the same reason that big dogs bite, the only thing that's different about them is size. And on the majority dog bite statistics that I just took a quick run through on the internet chihuahuas don't even make the top 10 list.

    That said the best way of knowing what kind of dog will have a good nature is to observe how a puppy reacts to strangers and with its litter mates before you decide to bring puppy home with you. Every dog is an individual no matter what breed, and personality traits differ widely within the same breed.
