How much would an autopsy cost for a dog?

My dog had several seizures over the past two years and finally had his last one that lasted over an hour and by time I got him to the vet and they stopped it was too late and I ended up having to put him to sleep. My vet said the seizures probably came from a brain tumor. I would like to be certain and want to get my dog an necropsy if it does not cost to much. About much would it normally cost for the necropsy? I want to know for sure what killed him.

Welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your dog, my condolences to you and your family. I never had an autopsy done on any of my pets so I have no idea, guess it depends on the size of the dog, etc. If I were you, I would call a local vet hospital in your area and ask them about the costs. They likely have an idea of the price and may recommend a place you can go to with reduced prices, like maybe a veterinary college. Good luck, please let us know if you had it done and what they found out.
