Patterdale terriers are good farm dogs quite small but with loads of energy and really loving, I believe they have been used before to chase animals out of holes as they have a short stubby tail that you can help pull them back out of the hole with.

Newfoundlands are the best family dogs. They're rather large but they're gentle giants that can handle rough play and they also have the most docile, sweet temperaments. They're couch potatoes, but they love to go swimming too.

Collies are great dogs for herding sheep! Good luck.
