Remembering My First Standard Schnauzer, GUNTER

Gunter was my very first Standard Schnauzer, Hans is now my fourth. Gunter was so sweet as a puppy, I fell in love with his little 'five o'clock shadow'. He was a very smart dog, who I showed a few times in conformation and obedience trials at dog shows. Gunter won several ribbons as a puppy, but I stopped showing him for various reasons.

He was a pleasure to be around, very loving and loyal, and full of spunk and vinegar like other dogs of that breed. He's the reason we fell in love with the breed. Here he is as a puppy, and then several months before he passed over the bridge. He will always have a special place in my heart, I think of him often, we were blessed to have him in our lives.
