    My Marine Aquarium

    Just noticed there is a fish section so thought I would post my marine setup



    Here is the spec of my setup so far

    6x2x2 DT opti white front glass. Back and weirs painted black.

    50"x 18 " x 17 " sump

    2 x ehime 3000 LPH return pumps.

    TMC pellet reactor with ehime 1500 pump

    Deltec SC1456 internal skimmer

    TMC vecton 600 UV

    2 x Fluval E300 digital heaters

    TMC twin float ATU

    2 x maxspect Razor R420R 160w 16000k lights

    2 x ehime 1800 powerheads aimed behind rocks

    2 x hydor 4400 powerheads at front

    2 x bubble magus mini 100 fluid reactors one for phosphate media and other for carbon

    100 odd kilo of live rock

    10 kilo biohome ultra maxi media

    TMC ozone generator

    Air Dryer for ozone

    System runs 2 X weirs one at each end and twin return coming out of the centre of rear


    Fish stock.

    1 x Jewel tang
    1 x Yellow tang
    1 x Regal Tang
    1 x Yellow eye tang
    1 x sailfin tang
    2 x true percula clowns
    1 x mandarin
    1 x algae blenny
    1 x cleaner wrass
    12 x chromis



    5 x cleaner shrimp
    1 x fire shrimp
    1 x sand sifting starfish
    1 x red starfish

    Corals ect.

    Bubble tip anenomie
    Wall hammer
    Tracky
    Torch
    Zoa's
    Mushrooms
    Kenyan trees
    Red and green plating montipora
    Rainbow encrusting montipora
    Selection of acans
    Australian cataphilia
    GSP
    Blue planet acro
    A few other SPS
    2 x chalice
    Pulsing exina

    I think that covers most the stock.

    that is a beautiful tank set up. Is this a salt water tank? My nephew had a salt water tank, he actually cut a hole in the wall and the tank sits in there, just beautiful. He said a salt water tank requires more work to upkeep but the results are stunning
    he is your friend and protector, he will love you unconditionally, you owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion

    Yes it is a salt water setup and they do take some looking after but not that bad once you get use to it

    Beautiful tank! I used to have one years ago. And had all the things you have . I had a nurse shark and an octopus too. The octopus is a very messy eater yuck! I love to watch tanks they are so calming. We had sea horses too and the males had babies at a good time, we just happened to look at the right moment and there he was pushing them out. lol! My kids were amazed. Salt is tricky to start but after that it is easy pretty much. You didn't say what size that is. Mine was only a 90 gallon.

    It's around 175 gallons / 800 litres total system volume
