Air bubbles on shell. Shell rot?

If his shell looks metallic when he's underwater, then he's shedding. To help the process along, I would brush his shell once a week.

Please help me figure out why my turtles have these spots

Its algae. Take a brand new soft bristled toothbrush and softly scrub it off. Id recommend getting snails to eat the rest. Also, if he gets hungry, he'll eat the snail. Its fine if he eats the shell, its a source of calcium. Also, check out the turtle girl on youtube. She has good advice.

If you check out the turtle girl on youtube, she has lots of great advice. youl only...

I Have a 6 Year Old African Sideneck With Red Skin Around His Shell

I got my African sideneck turtle Trevor 6 months ago and he's been fine until last week. Weird red skin around his shell formed, and he stopped eating and moving. This happened about the time that my UVB bulb busted during a power outage. Does anyone know what might have happened?
