    Diabetes

    My cat is a diabetic.. diet controlled... does very well on Purina DM wet food.. does anyone have any recommendations on an over-the-counter food that would be best for him to eat... would like to give him some variety

    check ingredients on the cans, stay away from anything with a lot of carbs. Carbs turn into sugar which you are trying to avoid
    he is your friend and protector, he will love you unconditionally, you owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion

    Ask your vet about different foods. We put our Isis on white chicken meat from the rotisserie chickens with organic chicken broth, and baby food meats with a tube of those cat vitamins.

    Please consult your vet about this before you try it, and see what the vet says. I asked our vet, he was okay with it, and Isis was a dear old cat and got 3 more years out of life.
