Oh wise fish forum users, I need help figuring out a breeding setup for Bolivian Rams. I know that they like sand, dark flat rocks (I'm planning on using modified flower pots I saw in a youtube video), keep them in pairs, that sort of stuff, but my problem is, what tank sizes are best? I know they can breed in a 20 gallon long, which is what I plan on using once I get strong shelving, but what about the growout tank? I know 40 gallon breeders are always a good idea, but they're pretty long and I'm running a little short on space. What do you guys think?

A 40 breeder would be best, but I they would do perfectly fine in a well tended 20 gal long. Do you have enough space for something like a 29 gallon maybe?
