Good evening, I am a first time turtle owner ( I have a Cumberland slider and a Yellow bellied slider) so there are some things I’m still trying to figure out. One thing is if they’re healthy, I’ve noticed on the back edge of their shells, it is almost clear (it’s kind of hard to describe it) is it part of the shedding process (they are shedding) or something else? I have a few pictures below to show what I’m talking about. Do they seem healthy otherwise?

I think the green stuff is just algae getting under his scutes from shedding, please correct me if I’m wrong.
