I am so glad I found this forum.. My dog Lexi received 3 shots of Cytopoint and Everything about my happy energetic little Shorkie came to a sudden stop.. She became very lethargic, did not want to go for walks which we do every day, she became disoriented and just stared blankly at the wall, she could not go up stairs, she became very thirsty, she did not want to go outside, she did not want to play, I could go on and on ..Took her to the vet, they ran blood work, xrays, and did an ultrasound and found nothing except that her immune system was very weak..

The vet wanted to do an MRI .. $3700.00 on top of the $1500 we had already spent to check her brain.. Then I found this forum and I want to thank everyone who posted about this poison cytopoint..I believe your posts about it may have saved the life of my dog as she was due for her 4th shot which I believe now would have killed her.. We are praying that with time she will get better and hope the damage done is not permanent..

thank you, I hope your dog recovers. I was the first poster warning about this shot, it was rand new and no one knew the long term effects of it, especially where it affected the t cells which control cancer and other thins. Glad this post helped you in saving your dog

Report IN WRITING to your countries animal licensing board AND in writing to the Vet who gave the cytpoint as that is the only way to stop the registration and use of this 'new wonder drug' and stop more deaths of people beloved pets.....If it is removed from license then Vet will not/can not use it and it certainly needs to be removed, not pets used as part of their 'trail' to 'see what works and what doesn't work'

In so far as rebuilding her immune system, purchase some 100% pure neem bark/leaf powder, available online or in good Asian supermarkets. I use neem ( half teasp) sprinkled daily on their food as a parasite protector ( flea, mites, worms) it safely kills and protects however as a side affect it also boosts the immune system and as you do not need to use chemical flea treatmants or wormers (which scour the gut) so you are further protecting the immune system.... once you have given half teasp over a month, you have built up their resilience and can use half teasp twice a week, then down to half teasp once a week

I have also just experienced this and it has been heartbreaking and very frustrating. I also just did an MRI and that finally gave me a diagnosis after 8 weeks of watching my dog suffer and turn into only a shadow of what he used to be. The more I read on here the more I am convinced these medications are the culprit to all of his issues. I am beside myself trying to convince everyone I know it was the Cytopoint. I even reported this to Zoetis but they said my vet has to write a complaint but they unfortunately don't believe it was the injection- I do.

The manufacturers will 'do' nothing, it is the VET AND the licensing aurthority for Animal medications ( in your country) that you need to write to, as the Vet then KNOWS as it is in writing and the animal licensing aurthority are the people that grant the license for this products to be 'safe' to use..... so if it still holds a license Vets will use it

What are the risks associated with Cytopoint? The most common side effects with Cytopoint (which may affect up to 1 in 1,000 animals) are allergic reactions with swelling of the face and itchy rash. Cytopoint must not be given to dogs weighing less than 3 kg.

Do your homework! There are more than what you have listed. I think as pet owners we have the right to know them all.
