Do's and Don'ts of Dog's Halloween Costume

Apr 10, 2015
Dressing up your dog for Halloween is fun but caution has to be taken to ensure the pet is not exposed to potential risks. For starters, you need to know if your dog is allergic to a certain type of fabric. An allergic reaction can make your dog feel uncomfortable or end up causing a serious skin infection.

Avoid dangling objects and straps because they can easily choke your dog.

Don't choose costumes that are too tight because they can frighten your dog and lead to potential injuries.

Make sure your dog enjoys putting on the costume. If it's the first time he/she is wearing something, expect a bit of resistance.

Observe your dog closely to see if he/she is having problems with the costume.
