Help! What could this be?

My dog Jack is a 6 month old pit bull and I noticed a few weeks ago a circular scab on his backside. Since then, it has tripled in size and some people say it might be ring worm and others are saying it’s mites. Can anyone help me determine what this could be and how I could treat at home.

thanks in advance.

I don't know what it is , I can't see anything other than thinner hair. Bujt you could get a bottle colodial silver and put some on it several times a day close to the skin as possible. Silver is a natural antibiotic and will kill any bacteria or fungus if that is what it is.

I was taught in biology ringworm is named after its appearance, but when my second cat had it, there were no circular bumps. It was just for loss. How long has Jack had it? FYI it is caused by a fungus. You do not have to worry about worms living in the house.
