Hey all.
I recently got a Maltipoo puppy. Haven is approximately 15 weeks old. A couple days ago she started having very watery poop and needed to go outside twice per night. This has continued until the present. She acts fine otherwise. I don't want to take her to the vet. Do you have any suggestions? I'm exhausted.
Thank you.

We can't give you any medical advice. We are not qualified to do so, and it's against the rules.

I don't understand why anyone with a puppy with these issues doesn't want to take her to the vet immediately.

Get her to a vet. Watery poop can result in dehydration, and it could be a symptom of something going on in her that can be easily treated.

Go to the vet! Please!

the dog probably has worms or some other kind of parasite she needs to see a vet. you could try adding some pumpkin to her food not pumpkin pie filling just plain pumpkin but that may firm her up a bit but if the problem is worms she needs medication to kill them. she would need to be treated every ten days until you get a clean sample which depending on how infested she is it could take a few weeks.

Diarrhea isn't that uncommon in puppies and could be caused by a lot of things, like eating whatever the puppy finds. You could try feeding her just cooked chicken and rice, but if it continues past a few days the puppy should be seen by a vet. I don't know what kind of food you are feeding her but dry kibble makes firmer poops

Congratulations on your new puppy, I hope she's over her diarrhea. I use NutraVet anti-diarrheal medicine for cats and it works very well, has pectin in it. I think it's available at Chewy and some local pet stores. If I need to give it to my dog, I just increase the dose to account for his weight and size. Looking forward to seeing your new family member!

I think the chicken and rice is a very good suggestion, also ground beef can be boiled, water removed to remove the fat, and that added to white rice. Anything bland helps.

I would also add to get the puppy to the vet. Quickly and get some tests on it. Diarrhea is often dehydrating and can hurt a bunch as in liver and kidney failure. Get a vet's advice, I hope you will.

I think it was because of her diet. We switched her to something else and she has completely recovered!
Thank you for the advice. I will post pictures of her sometime soon.

Excellent! My dog and cat are sensitive to certain foods, we always have to avoid them or at least limit them. Looking forward to the pictures. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
