Need some help! :)

So, I’ve been researching the African bullfrog, and I’ve decided I’m going to get one. I’ve done a ton of research but I’d like to get advice from y’all too. First, I have a 40 gallon and I’m going to make it half water half land, is that okay?
Second, which light/heat mat and thermostat do y’all recommend? Should I keep the water as hot as the dry land side?
