FDA warns dog owners about artificial sweetener Xylitol.

"She gave her dog ice cream, and it ended up in the animal ICU. Now she, and the FDA are issuing a warning about giving dogs ‘human food’ with the ingredient Xylitol."

I never give my dog ice cream or anything like that, but this article states Xylitol may also be found in some peanut butters. We know dogs love a taste of peanut butter now and then, but check the label.

Good tip Rose! There's xylitol in some toothpastes too, so if you have a cat that gets up on the counters and sinks, be careful of putting toothpaste on your brush and walking out of the room for any amount of time.

Fox News recommends checking peanut and nut butter labels for xylitol before using one to hide pills.
